Ninja Turtles OG from OCPC Medical Marijuana Review

Ninja Turtles OG from OCPC Medical Marijuana Review

When I went into OCPC for this past visit, the budtender asked what I wanted to see.  I thought about if for a moment.  To be honest, I didn’t know, nor did I care.  I already had an assortment of indicas and sativas at home.  Keyword–at home.  I just wanted to pick up a quick eighth to pull from to get through what was already looking to be a long day.  After what was probably an awkwardly long pause, the budtender cocked his head as if to say, “Are we still home in there?”  Finally, I responded, “Something interesting.”  Clearly he was hoping for an answer more along the lines of indica or sativa.  But he was a good sport and took my question to mean top shelf anything.  After pulling out a few exceptional selections from both sides of the menu, he popped the glass top off of Ninja Turtles OG.  Firstly, I liked the TMNT when I was a youngster.  Obsession might be a more appropriate word, actually.  So naturally, it was coming home with me.

Most of the eighth was one large bud.  Many thanks for that, OCPC.  It was a dark green and incredibly moist puff of a bud, too.  It was oddly round, with no conical shape at all.  There was a milky tan trichome color, creating a creamy colored nugget.  The scent of Ninja Turtles OG was full of pungent berries, a possible hint at some purple in its genetics.  The smell is almost acrid, similar to Queen Bee.  It is a unique palette, and I can see some people being put off by it.  However, like with say wine and beer, the obscure tastes are sometimes the most intriguing.  I mostly smoked Ninja Turtles OG in blunts, and the potent, overripe berry taste plowed through the flavored sweetness of the wrap.

Ninja Turtles sits firmly on the indica side of the display case, and for good reason.  It didn’t make me sleepy, and even after a gram dose, I was able to handle all my normal responsibility.  There was no real couch-lock, especially if it has any purple in it, which is known to incapacitate.  I was content and comfortable.  Although there was some spacy tendencies, I didn’t find myself to be useless.  There was a nice body buzz.  My elbow has hurt recently from strain, and Ninja Turtles OG helped ease that joint ache.  There was also an airy headiness, perfect for migraine relief.  The come on is slow, so watch your medicating, or it can catch you unprepared later.
