Trikom Treats Loaded Lemon Bar Edible Review

Trikom Treats Loaded Lemon Bar Edible Review

Lemon bars and I have a rocky relationship when it comes to edibles.  I’ve had good times and bad times.  Tasty lemon bars, and… not so tasty lemon bars.  But always I go back; time and again, lured by the promises of better times.

And Trikom Treats Loaded Lemon Bar is just that better time: the excellent manifestation of what a medicated lemon bar should be.  Lacking in pretension, but not in powdered sugar, this honest little lemon bar is sure to meet your need for both flavor and potency.

Being one of Trikom Treats’ smaller edibles and due to the rather difficult consistency of lemon bars in general, breaking this edible into smaller doses is not a convenient task and is best accomplished after keeping it in the freezer.

I have to admit that you can taste and smell the cannabis in this Loaded Lemon Bar, but there is a lot of potency in this little treat.  The natural lemon juice and lemon zest go miles to help mask this marijuana taste.  Along with the natural lemon flavors, this edible contains egg and no preservatives, so refrigeration is a must.  Just like I’ve come to expect, this edible was incredibly fresh: in our hands less than a week after its born on date.

As with most Trikom Treats edibles, this batch of Loaded Lemon Bars clocks in at just over 100 mg of cannabinoids.  Because Trikom Treats tests their medicated coconut oil every time they make it, including testing date and specific numbers on the packaging, there are no worries about incorrect dosing and no question of exact potency.  This stands as a counterpoint to some Orange County edibles manufacturers who test once and use those numbers for months over multiple batches, if not into perpetuity.

For my review, I ate the Loaded Lemon Bar in one dose — mostly because it was a bit sloppy after a couple hours in my briefcase.  Enjoyed during my morning coffee break, the sweet lemon treat was a far better snack than any pre-packaged lemon loaf sold from the bakery counter.  The lemon topping was creamy soft and cool in the mouth; the crust was buttery sweet, rich, and flaky.  And although my beard bore the brunt of the powdered sugar, the completed effect of these lemon bars is beautiful and delicious.

Consumed whole on a day where my responsibility should have limited my use, I was a bit scared that, with over 100 mg in the dose, I’d be over medicated: something I do often with lemon bars.  However, the high was thoughtful and productive, though marked by accents of daydreaming.  The most noticeable side effect, besides a beaming smile, was two radiantly bloodshot eyes.  I’ve come to rely on Trikom Treats for both their tasty baked goods and their truly consistent potency.  And my experience here with their Loaded Lemon Bar only confirms this high standing.
