Medizen Little Sours from OCPC Edible Review

Medizen Little Sours from OCPC Edible Review

I first discovered Medizen edibles at the High Times Cannabis Cup in LA this year when I picked up a package of their gummy California apples to review.  I quite enjoyed them, but no matter how hard I searched, I wasn’t finding them in the Orange County shops.  That is, until now.  On a recent trip to the dispensary, I was excited to see OCPC carrying Medizen’s line of medicated gummy treats.

At 10 mg each, these medicated sour patch kids are perfect for new patients.  And with 300 mg for the bag, you are getting a lot of relief, regardless of your tolerance.  I popped one here, one there, for neck pain and muscle fatigue.  They are far more enjoyable than an ibuprofen.  Tastier too.  The sour coating is green with cannabis, and sucking them through the sour encourages a swifter, sublingual uptake.  They are incredibly sour, but even this does little to cover up the bitter cannabis taste.

These edibles create a numbing body effect and a happy, floating aura–creating a two toned medical effect for both mind and body.  I often consider edibles to be unique for chronic pain because they don’t just help to minimize the pain.  They also add mood elevation for those who suffer day after day.  As a sufferer of arthritis, this is my preferred medical treatment.  I never found Medizen to be an intense, paranoiac high or overly narcotic, making these a good first foray into edibles for beginners.
