TKO Edibles Brownie Review

TKO Edibles Brownie Review

I’ve been long, long overdue reviewing a TKO Edibles medicated baked good; though they are a staple of my favorite dispensary, OCPC in Santa Ana. Through the years, as edibles came and went, it was comforting to know that when I wanted a TKO, they would be there.  But like with most things consistent and reliable, you stop thinking about them and begin to take them for granted.  They become part of the routine, as second nature as air.

Then I ran into TKO Edibles at their booth at Kush Cup last month.  I’m at a loss to think of a more lovely family run business in the industry.  I swore up and down that I had reviewed their edibles in the past, but it turns out I hadn’t.  Almost regular use, and I had never produced a single word regarding their edibles.  We made arrangements to remedy that, and I left with one of their brownies to review — the same brownie that would take home the Kush Cup later that day.

Some brownies contain nuts, some have candy bars baked into them, and some are made into peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  Then there are brownies that are… well, just brownies.  TKO edibles contains nothing fancy, nothing complex.  It is just a well made brownie.  The kind that takes you on a nostalgic trip back to your grandma’s house for Sunday dinner.  It was cakey and soft, even after a week sitting in a desk drawer at the office.  Delightly fudgy, the delicious chocolate makes a great pairing with either a mug of steaming coffee or a glass of frosty milk.

At 200 mg of THC, this edible is not for the faint of heart.  Although I have eaten 200+ mg edibles in the past, I wanted to make this brownie last for the purposes of an effective review.  Plus it was a Tuesday afternoon, and I had things to do.  So I did the responsible thing and ate half.  For novice users or those new to edibles, this brownie can be split into up to twenty individual doses.  More experienced users will be able to take on more of it at a time.  100 mg is plenty for me for about 4 hours of bliss.

The high had a nice, social build.  It was giggly and talkative, and although I was able to be productive in the beginning, by the time it began to peak, the strong cerebral high made concentration difficult and increased my sensory engagement.  At that point, I turned up the music and settled in.  Red eyed and stoney when in full force, the effects of TKO Edibles’ brownie seemed to last and last, and it is better kept at home when used in large amounts.  But for potent relief of pain and insomnia, you can’t go wrong with a TKO Edible.
