Trikom Treats Canna Apple Delight Edible Review

Trikom Treats Canna Apple Delight Edible Review

For those who know me well, it would come as no surprise that I am head over heals for Trikom Treats’ new Canna Apple Delight.  Hailing from New Jersey, there are many things that I miss about home since moving to Orange County, but chief among them is the autumn season.  Each fall when the leaves began to change, I would pack up my fishing pole and waders and head out to Hacklebarney State Park to fish one of the Lamington River tributaries.  I was rarely successful, but the trip was always worth the trudge down to the brook, because it meant I was able to stop on my way home at the Hacklebarney Farms Cider Mill.  Here I could get a number of apple topped, infused, or flavored creations.  You could even get cider dogs, or hot dogs cooked in apple cider.  After a couple apple or pumpkin doughnuts and some warm cider, even the coldest fall morning could be brushed aside.

Trikom Treats captures the essence of the harvest season perfectly in their Canna Apple Delight.  With real bits of apple, chopped pecans, and sugary cinnamon and brown sugar, every bite is like licking autumn in the face.  My sample was incredibly moist, unsurprising considering how fresh it was.  The top was a perfectly golden brown, while the bottom was sugary sweet.  In between was an impossibly soft cake, accented by tart apples and crunchy pecans.  Because there are no preservatives, be sure to put yours in a fridge or freezer…  Or just pile it into your cake hole the moment you walk in your front door as I did.

The edible I received for our review was tested at 99 mg THC. While there wasn’t anything spectacular about this, what was impressive is that the cannabutter was tested the last week in January, the edible was cooked 5 days later February, and the packaged product was in my hands and enjoyed less than a week after that.  Commercial food, let alone medicated edibles, just doesn’t get much fresher than this.  I also love their idea of printing a born on date.  As a consumer, this transparency in the process makes me confident in Trikom Treats as a brand.

I decided to eat the whole 100+ mgs of cannabinoids in one sitting.  And not necessarily because I wanted to get that high.  Firstly, a treat this good is hard to stop eating, so splitting doses before you nibble is probably a good idea.  We also no longer have a working fridge in the office, so in order not to waste it, I had to taste it.  All.  However, it was a very comfortable 100 mg, which is on the more potent end of my tolerance range.  The come on to the high was smooth and mellow.  I felt connected to the environment around me and sensory engagement was heightened.  When working became too difficult due to the distracting nature of the high, I went for a walk.  The high eventually transitioned to one more sedative, although it was still capable and not particularly locking.  Good for minor to moderate pain, anxiety and tension, and even depression in lighter doses, this Canna Apple Delight is sure to become a tasty addition to your medicine cabinet.
