Miss Mary Janes Edibles Brownie Bites Edible Review

These brownie bites from Miss Mary Jane’s Edibles mark their first foray into an already diluted brownie market.  One of the first edibles most cannabis users attempt to make at home, the doughy chocolate of the pot brownie stands as a fine complement to an otherwise bitter cannabis taste.  However, Miss Mary Jane’s Edibles puts their own twist on the traditional brownie by topping them each with a different flavor frosting — breaking the monotony of the medicated brownie.

Double Chocolate: The first sample we tried was the most straightforward.  The chocolate frosting and chocolate flakes create the double dose of chocolate when paired with the rich chocolate brownie.  As is true of each of the flavors we tried, the creamy frosting here accentuated the cakey brownie.

Miss Mary Janes Edibles Brownie Bites Edible ReviewCookies and Cream:  One of our favorite ice cream and shake flavors has been brought to life in the frosting here.  As always, Oreo-like chocolate goes best with milk, so having a glass of the cool stuff at the ready is highly recommended to complete the effect.

Miss Mary Janes Edibles Brownie Bites Edible ReviewPeanut Butter Cup:  A classic pairing, if not a bit obvious, this flavor tops the brownie bite with peanut butter icing, accented with chopped bits of peanut butter cup.  You simply cannot go wrong with the combination of chocolate and peanut butter.

Miss Mary Janes Edibles Brownie Bites Edible ReviewSalted Caramel:  The most creative and visually striking of the flavors was the salted caramel.  Full of sweet, with just a bit of savory, the caramel sauce drizzle makes for both a sticky and flavorful addition to the rich chocolate brownie.

A constant through them all was the moist, soft brownie.  And the noticeable cannabis taste, more so than in comparably potent edibles.  There is also some pungent cannabis scent, so be aware when storing at the home and office or if eating them in public to avoid suspicious looks.

Tested at 60 mg each by SC Labs, they are available individually or in a sampler 4 pack loaded with 240 mg total.  As a moderate user, I find 60 mg to be a good standard dose, so I didn’t need to bother with splitting the brownie bites into smaller doses.  However, with the frosting towering above the slender brownie bites, the prospect of cutting them into portions seems difficult at best if trying to retain the edibles’ presentation.

The high seemed to have a heady indica lean, starting with a mellow drift and ending in a stoney lock.  Most effective then for relief from chronic pain when used during the day, as a late night snack, it can help overcome insomnia for a deep, restful sleep.
