Blackberry Kush from Turn and Cough Extracts Review

Blackberry Kush from Turn and Cough Extracts Review

Turn and Cough Extracts are one of the many sponsors for the Weed 4 Warriors Project here in Southern California, and we had the opportunity to meet up with them at a recent W4WP event at the OC Norml offices, where they were giving out free medication to the veterans in the form of their extracts.  The indica dominant that they had on hand was Blackberry Kush, a mix of landrace Afghani and Blackberry (Black Domina x Raspberry Cough).

The kush influence comes through starting in its musky, fuel scent and almost industrial taste, like Hash Plant, but more diesel.  The endnote contains slight sour berry, creating a deceptively complex extract.  I found it sweet, but I find skunks equally aromatic.  I think it can be summed up best by my friend who, upon walking into the room after I released a particularly large dab, said, “It smells like weed in here.”  Indeed.  The pungent aroma lingers long after other extracts fade away and is tell-tale to say the least.

Indica dominant kush genetics brings narcotic-like pain relief and a physically relaxing tendency toward naps, and I found the body effects to take over immediately.  Currently on the road, I’ve been having a hard time getting and staying asleep, being kept out of my routine.  I was certainly looking forward to such a heavy indica, and it didn’t disappoint.  The sedative like high also equates to great anti-stress and anti-anxiety motivations as well, making it an effective medical strain.
