OG Headcheese from PSA Review

OG Headcheese from PSA Review

Here at the Review, we love the classic strains.  The household names.  The past award winners that for one reason or another don’t make it onto the menus much anymore.  Whenever we do see them, we grab them up in handfuls.  And when it comes to stocking these exceptional strains, one shop does it better than any other: PSA in Santa Ana.  Bringing together a host of beloved flowers, their OG Headcheese is a must have.

In breaking down the Headcheese genetics, we have a pair of parents that each feature their own popular lineages.  The first half is Headband, an East/West blending of OG Kush and Sour Diesel.  The second is perennial British favorite, Cheese (Skunk #1 and an Afghani).  Then the whole works is OG’d up, for that Southern California flair.  A who’s who of knockout strains, cohabitating in this hybrid.

Visually, OG Headcheese’s dense, conical buds are laden with milky khaki colored trichomes and splashes of rust red hairs stand out against the lightly hued greenery.  Opening one of the nugs produces a nutty cheese scent, and the green hit exhibits a similar flavor in a pungent blue cheese and punky pine wood.

Although seemingly sativa dominant in its genetics, both in its characteristics and its effects it is a well blended, full body strain.  Skunk and Sour Diesel are some of the funkiest and most cerebral of sativas, bringing an energetic and focused high.  Despite this, the Afghani brings physical relief from pain and the OG offers plenty of physical relaxation to help unwind from a stressful day.  This all around hybrid is ideal for the patient looking for a single strain for a range of symptoms.
